Girl Scouts of Manitou Council is the largest girl-serving organization in the Lake Michigan western shoreline area. Each year, one in every three girls in the elementary schools in the council is a Girl Scout - approximately 3,500 Girl Scouts in all or parts of the counties of Calumet, Dodge, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, and Washington. More than half of those elementary aged Girl Scouts then continue in Girl Scouting through their middle school and high school years. All these Girl Scouts are guided by more than 1,300 adult members of the Girl Scouts of Manitou Council. We operate two amazingly beautiful camps which are utilized year 'round for Girl Scout program, troop or group camping, summer camp, and as rental properties for the public to enjoy. From the stunning tree-filled rolling hills, lakes, and rivers to the modern facilities built to complement the natural surroundings, Camp Evelyn and Camp Manitou are a source of pride to both our members and to the many, many people in the communities within our council who donate time and money to maintain them for our Girl Scouts.
